WHO AM I? MY STORY AND MY MOTIVATION.

Hi I’m Trav. I’m 41, I’ve worked as a personal trainer since 2003 and as a health, lifestyle & business coach since 2012. I have run several businesses, coached thousands of people, traveled extensively, lived in multiple cities and countries, and done as much personal development work as I can to change from the shyest kid in my school to a confident man who can talk to anyone.

I’ve had my fair share of hardships too. I’ve had failed relationships, struggled with sleep my whole life, had crazy anxiety worrying about everything, broken my body with years of sport, have lived in pain for many years, fought with chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and lyme disease for 11 years, fallen into periods of depression as my life has fallen apart, lost all my money several times and plenty more.

I’ve also burned my life to the ground and sold everything to start from scratch and reinvent myself and my life the way I want it. Along the way I’ve had plenty of fun surfing, playing basketball, dancing salsa, lifting weights and learning calisthenics, made amazing friends around the world, been on incredible adventures, shared memories with my family and much more.

WHAT DO I DO AS A COACH?

I love to coach men to create their ideal lifestyle. This type of coaching requires a holistic approach where we assess the physical, mental and emotional state to find a baseline and where the gaps are in terms of fulfillment and happiness.

The coaching process involves a series of questionnaires about your physical, mental and emotional health, as well as your lifestyle and how you live day to day. I want to know what you eat, how much you rest, what hurdles you've had in life and especially what you really want out of life.

We will explore where you are happy in life and where you are frustrated or stuck. Once we have a starting point, we work on building up multiple areas with new habits that will support the desired outcome or behavior. This means you will always have homework to do.

Awareness is the key to your growth. Being aware of how you react or respond to different situations or stressors is a vital step in identifying what is going on. Without awareness, you may not see the self-sabotaging behavior that you are likely displaying.

HOW THE COACHING PROCESS WORKS.

First, we set up a free introductory coaching call. This is to see if we get along and if we would like to continue to work together. If we don’t mesh, then it’s the end of our coaching journey together. If we get along and I feel I can help get you to where you want to be, then we will discuss the next step.

Step 2 will involve a commitment to work together for both of us. We will initially work together for 13 sessions, either speaking weekly or fortnightly through video call. Like any great work of art, progress takes time and there will be old habits to break and new ones to make. If you are not prepared to dig deep and commit for this space of time, then we are not suitable to work together.

Step 3 starts your coaching journey. You will have set up automatic payment on a weekly or fortnightly basis, and we will begin our regular consultations at a regular time. You will be pushed mentally, emotionally and physically. You will be uncomfortable. You will not enjoy all our conversations. You will have homework and it will often be things you don’t want to do. But you will grow and your life will start to transform into something you are far happier with.

Step 4 is to tell you that it may take years to get to your destination or dream lifestyle. However, you can make huge progress towards that destination with consistent work, or you may change where you want to go and what you want to do. This is normal. Be prepared to work with me or with other coaches for the long term, because a coach will always help guide to more happiness and fulfillment, and also more money.
